Let’s dive into The Truth About Weight Loss Over 40
There is this expectation that when you get to a certain age you are supposed to start slowing down.
For instance…When you retire you are expected to live out your golden years in what I imagine …sipping iced tea in a rocking chair on your porch as you watch people go by.
When the kids are off at college and you and your husband are trying to figure out who you are when it is just the two of you…there’s so much more empty space to fill up.
When you start noticing small changes in the way your body looks or feels and you may start to feel a bit like a hypochondriac…oh I felt a pain in my chest I must be having a heart attack.
You may start to feel like it’s a bit harder to do the things you want to do…like ok I am older I’ve raised the kids and now...I am just tired and worn down.
And add in all the crazy that comes with perimenopause…it’s very easy to want to just sit on the couch all day and read a book and drink a very large cup of hot coffee…or vodka!...listen in for more.

For about half of that time, using my background as a Personal Trainer and Physical Therapist Assistant, I gave fat-burning workout programs and nutritional meal plans and guidelines to my clients…and they got results! Your family has asked you to go out to a restaurant for dinner or it’s a holiday…like this weekend is Memorial Day weekend in the states. The TRUE meaning behind Memorial Day is to honor all of the fallen soldiers who gave their life for our freedom. And if you are in any of the branches of the military - I personally thank you for what you do to keep our country safe.
But also as true Americans we have to make everything a celebration as well. So to most, Memorial weekend symbolizes the start of beach season. People, especially where I am on the East Coast, all flock to the shore. The festivities typically have a BBQ and lots of food or hittin' the boardwalk for your first taste of your favorite shore delights!! My personal favorites are Manco Manco pizza and Khor’s Bros soft serve!!
